the jankenpyon simulator.

As a way to mindfuck every AKB48 fan out there, Akimoto Yasushi decided a Rock-Paper-Scissors (known as jankenpyon in underground circles) tournament was the best way to carry out senbatsu selection for AKB48's 19th single. While the fans were in uproar, some decided that simulating it could be fun.

This was what Amplifier and maliciel set out to do. This Java application pit each girl against her opponent ten thousand times, making sure it was all but luck that determined the winner. Of course, this still didn't mean anything, because it was a random number generator making the picks. But still, that's just nitpicking. This is obviously the best rock-paper-scissors tournament simulator ever.

After long hours of bug-testing and making sure Maeda Atsuko didn't win all the time, the result of this collaboration can now be witnessed.
